Thanks for visiting my site. Perhaps you are here on purpose, or maybe you’ve found me by accident. Either way, you are here and you want to know, what’s my story?
That’s a good question, one that I love, because I am a fan of the story. I design them, develop them and often write them down. I take photos too.
Who am I? I’m a mashup of a writer, traveler, digital marketeer and entrepreneur.
I kind of left a mark on the internet before it all got very big and social, published a few books in The Netherlands and moved to Cambodia.
And then kept traveling around. A lot. Running little businesses. I might actually be the first ever digital nomad as I had my own social network already running in 2001. Others even called me the Godfather of Couchsurfing.
My day job is being a writer for a few hours a day, finding out where to go next on my travels and running various little businesses, like a movie theater in Phnom Penh. Next to that I am the founder of The Quiet Reader, a literary magazine.
I can mostly travel whenever I want, as much as I want, write whatever I want and wherever I am – and help out people and communities in whatever way I can, pretty much all over the world! Hit me up if you have something interesting for me!
